Free Meta ads bulk uploader: what you actually get for $0

"Free" means four different things in this category: free forever with a cap, free for a week, free for the first N uploads, or free because Meta built it. Here is which is which, checked on 31 August 2026.

Facts from the vendors' public pages on 31 August 2026; we are Adlio, so treat the rest as sourced but vendor-written, and check the other sites before deciding.

Option 1: Meta's own importer (free, forever)

Ads Manager's Export and Import creates campaigns, ad sets and ads from a spreadsheet. It is genuinely free and genuinely official. What it is not is an uploader: media has to exist in the account first (images by hash or file name, videos by video ID), the import file is capped at roughly 2 MB, errors come back per row, and some creative settings, Advantage+ enhancements among them, are not fully controllable from the sheet.

If your batches are about structure (many ad sets, many geos) and you like spreadsheets, start here and never pay. If your batches are about creatives, you will do the slow part by hand and the sheet on top. The full mechanics are in Meta's bulk import spreadsheet, explained.

Option 2: a free tier without a clock (Adlio)

Adlio is free for your first 15 ads, and that number is the only limit:

  • no card on file, so nothing can convert automatically;
  • no trial clock, so you can launch a batch, wait a week for results, and decide;
  • the same product as Pro: paused-by-default launches, per-account settings, Advantage+ opt-out per creative type, naming pattern, UTM template, images, videos up to 4 GB, carousels.

After 15 ads it is USD 39 per month or USD 319 per year in the US, EUR 29 / 240 in the eurozone and GBP 29 / 240 in the UK (real local prices, not conversions), with a 14-day money-back guarantee. If 15 ads is your monthly volume, you may simply never pay, and that is fine with us.

Option 3: first N uploads free (Rapid Ads)

Rapid Ads states the first 10 uploads are free (some third-party listings say 15; trust their site). After that it is a single unlimited plan, widely listed at USD 39 per month or 389 per year. Ten uploads is enough to see the interface and the aspect-ratio tagging; whether it is enough to evaluate naming and enhancement behaviour across a real batch depends on your batch size. Comparison: Rapid Ads alternative.

Option 4: a time-limited trial (Ads Uploader)

Ads Uploader offers a 7-day trial without a card, then USD 44 per month or 528 per year on its Solo Unlimited plan. Seven days is plenty to test the tooling (it has the broadest feature set in the category), and short if you want to see a week of results before deciding. Plan the batch for day one. Comparison: Ads Uploader alternative.

Option 5: no free tier (AdManage)

AdManage starts at GBP 99 per month for one ad account on one platform, GBP 499 for five accounts across nine platforms, with money-back guarantees of 7 to 30 days depending on tier. It is the multi-platform option, and it is priced for teams that need that. Not a free path, but the guarantee is a real one if you want to test it.

How to test any of them for free, properly

  1. Pick one real batch, 10 to 15 creatives you were going to launch anyway.
  2. Set the account defaults first: Page and Instagram identity, pixel, copy, URL and UTMs, naming pattern, enhancement toggles, DSA fields if you deliver in the EU. This is where tools differ most, and it takes ten minutes.
  3. Launch paused. If the tool cannot, that is a finding.
  4. Open two ads in Ads Manager and run the pre-launch QA checklist: names, UTMs, enhancement status, identity.
  5. Set the batch live and wait a week. Then compare the time you spent with your usual method, not the feature list.

A free tier is worth exactly what that test tells you.

Start with 15

Connect Facebook, set the defaults once, drop a folder. Your first 15 ads are free, with no card and no clock. See how bulk upload works and pricing or the FAQ.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a completely free bulk uploader for Meta ads?+

Meta's own Export and Import in Ads Manager is free without limits, at the cost of pre-uploading media and fixing row errors. Among third-party tools, Adlio is free for the first 15 ads with no card and no expiry; the others offer a short trial or a small number of free uploads.

Is 15 free ads enough to evaluate a tool?+

It is enough for one real batch: connect an account, set the defaults, launch 10 to 15 creatives paused, check naming, UTMs and enhancement status in Ads Manager, set them live and watch a week of results. That is a real test, which a 7-day clock with no batch behind it is not.

What is the catch with free tiers?+

Usually one of three: a card on file that converts automatically, a trial clock that runs out before you have results, or a feature set that is different from the paid product. Adlio's free tier has none of those: no card, no clock, same product. The cap is simply 15 ads.
